Job summary

South Shore Community Action Council, Inc. seeks an assistant teacher to support daily lessons and curriculum planning under supervision.

You will help maintain a safe, healthy environment that fosters young children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development, and assist with meal service and bus monitoring. The position requires Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification, or an associate/bachelor degree in early childhood (CDA considered).

Qualifications

Job description

Core Duties: Develop and implement daily lessons & curriculum plans using creative curriculum. Assist the Teacher to create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of students. Perform assistant teaching activities that align with the EEC and Head Start Performance Standards regulations. Meal assistance, Bus Monitoring runs are required

Minimum Requirements at employment: All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check; prior to beginning employment.
