Overview

Interventionists at BakerRipley Community Schools support the whole child by focusing on student development through high-quality, innovative interventions and progress monitoring. They maintain data-based documentation of student performance and progress during interventions.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

1. Implement research-based interventions tailored to individual student needs in reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
2. Differentiate intervention plans based on students' learning profiles to ensure engagement and challenge for all ability levels.
3. Use assessment data to modify plans and target areas for improvement.
4. Provide data to school teams and participate in decisions regarding student progress.
5. Submit updated intervention plans to administrators.
6. Adjust interventions based on data collection, reflection, and learning cycles to maximize effectiveness.
7. Facilitate and coordinate student practice through meaningful learning experiences.
8. Check for understanding regularly and provide feedback to ensure learning.
9. Communicate high expectations for character and behavior by teaching, practicing, and reinforcing rules and expectations.
10. Collaborate with teachers to ensure consistency in student academic habits, traits, and mindsets.
11. Utilize tracking systems to monitor students participating in interventions.
12. Meet professional obligations by adhering to deadlines and schedules.
13. Perform duties as requested by the Director or principal.
14. Maintain awareness of campus requirements, policies, and available community support services for students and families.
15. Create a welcoming environment that fosters respect and kindness, encouraging students to take risks.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

Experience: Working with young and school-aged children or teaching experience is highly desirable. Experience as an interventionist is also preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field (Required).

Experience: At least 3 years of related experience (Required).
