Qualifications
  • Completed at least two years, or 48 credit semester hours, at an institution of higher education; or
  • An Associate's degree or higher; or
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to assist in reading, writing, and math through a state or local assessment (ACT Work Keys); or
  • Meet other qualifications as established by the school district.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement instructional lessons aligned with curriculum and tailored to student needs.
  • Assist in creating a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate with parents and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in professional development.
  • Supervise students and assist in selecting educational materials.
  • Participate in IEPs and 504 meetings as required.
  • Uphold school policies and foster good public relations.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the principal.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to listen, communicate, stand, walk, sit, and manipulate objects. Must occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment

Standard classroom and office setting with low to moderate noise levels. Accommodations available for disabilities.
