Learn Academy, "formally Chrysalis Academy," a certified K-12 private day school, is looking for full-time, year-round Teaching Assistants for the 2024-2025 school year! The TA will provide educational, behavioral, and communication support to children with autism spectrum disorder and related disorders under the direction of a Certified Special Education Teacher.

The starting pay is $18.50/hr

This position is ideal for candidates interested in working with children with special needs and making a difference in their lives! It’s also suitable for candidates with backgrounds in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, and Healthcare.

• Implement treatment plans using ABA techniques.
• Support students with daily living activities.
• Document and report behaviors.
• Maintain professional relationships.
• Work independently and with supervisors to create treatment plans.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors and colleagues.
• Attend training, supervision, and mentor meetings.
• Be receptive to constructive feedback.
• Meet all clinical and administrative deadlines.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with children.
• PCM Certificate must be current.
• Related coursework preferred.
• Experience in ABA is a plus but not required.
• Must obtain or hold a valid CPR/First Aid & Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Ability to assume various postures for extended periods.
• Willingness to implement safety measures per PCMA, including therapeutic holds and transportation procedures.
