People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Early Head Start Teacher Assistant for the Child and Family Development program at our Clarke County center. This position will focus on supporting classroom teachers in direct educational instruction and fostering a positive learning environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a CDA within two years, and experience working with children.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months classroom experience working with children required.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.

Position provides support to classroom teachers in direct educational instruction with a focus on individualization ; communicates and collaborates with teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of children; assists with conducting child health assessments and conducts regular data entry and completes documentation. A minimum of three months classroom experience working with children required. A high school diploma/GED is required as well as a valid driver's license; excellent driving record and reliable driving record and reliable transportation also required. CDA required within two years of hire.
