Hermitage Hall, a part of the Universal Health Services family in Nashville, seeks a Teacher Assistant to support teachers, manage classroom tasks, and help students meet health care needs and daily living goals. The role emphasizes teamwork in a residential psychiatric setting and requires a compassionate, organized approach.

Responsibilities include assisting with IEPs, behavior support, records, and lesson implementation, while contributing to a stable, family-oriented therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Paraprofessional Licensure/Certificate preferred but not required.

• Under supervision of the teacher, assist in implementing Individual Education Plans.
• Provide behavior support to the teacher.
• Perform record keeping and clerical functions.
• Assist with positive rewards.
• Maintain student records including point sheets/grades when substituting or assisting.
• Assist teachers with implementation of lesson plans.

The Teacher Assistant will assist assigned teachers in the supervision and instruction of students, performing classroom clerical tasks, and assisting students by meeting special health care needs and developing students’ daily living and behavioral skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the teacher, assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans
