Job description

Part-Time - Remote - Contract

Why This Role Matters

Teachers lose an average of 10–15 hours per week grading and giving writing feedback. Sage slashes that burden with an AI writing tutor built for grades 3-12, so educators can focus on great instruction. Your job: make sure every ELA teacher who could use those extra hours hears about Sage, tries it, and tells their colleagues.

The best ed-tech ambassadors aren’t “brand cheerleaders”—they’re credible peers who can say what still needs work as loudly as they praise wins. If you want to shape a product from the inside while lifting up fellow teachers, this is that gig.

What You’ll Do (5–10 hrs/week, totally flex)

  • Spark conversations in educator communities on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, X/Twitter, etc —no copy-pasting; you’ll bring authentic teacher voice.
  • Create micro-content (30-sec reels, blog posts, Loom walkthroughs) that demystifies AI in writing instruction and shows Sage in action.
  • Spot & court teacher-influencers (think Reading & Writing Haven, Cult of Pedagogy level). Help them pilot Sage and share honest reviews.
  • Dog-food the product with your own students: run mini-lessons, stress-test new rubric features, and send brutal, detailed feedback to the dev team.
  • Co-design the roadmap—join a monthly virtual council where we debate what teachers really need next (grading analytics? SEL-aware prompts?).

You’ll Nail This Role If You…

  • Currently teach Upper-Elementary, Middle, or High-School ELA (or did so within the past 2 years).
  • Are already active in at least two online teacher spaces and love swapping resources.
  • Have a side-hustle energy for short-form video and thoughtful writing.
  • Believe AI is a force-multiplier for teachers when used responsibly—and you can articulate both the promise and the pitfalls.
  • $25/hr as a 1099 contractor (paid twice monthly).
  • First access to beta features —grow your own professional brand alongside ours.
  • A front-row seat with founders who previously builtRocketship Public Schools andeSpark Learning — meaning you’ll learn a ton about scaling high-impact ed-tech.
