Qualifications

  • Certificación para enseñar según guías de certificación del Departamento de Educación de Arizona.
  • Tarjeta de verificación de huellas dactilares IVP del Departamento de Seguridad Pública de AZ ( AZDPS).
  • Endoso SEI obtenido o cursos completados.
  • Endoso de alfabetización K-5 en proceso o completado si enseñas en aula K-5.

Responsibilities

  • Comunica objetivos de aprendizaje a los estudiantes de forma planificada y organizada.
  • Prepara y entrega instrucción adecuada para la población estudiantil, adaptando currículo y métodos.
  • Crea planes de lecciones que correlacionen con estándares estatales y del distrito.
  • Utiliza tecnología para enriquecer el aprendizaje.
  • Participa en revisión de progreso académico y en intervenciones necesarias.
  • Mantiene registros precisos y el cumplimiento de normativas.

Employment Type:

Full-time

Base Salary

Minimum entry: $58,000.00 prorated based on FTE and start date

Potential compensation in addition to base salary

up to $5,400 in stipends prorated based on FTE and start date

Calendar

Certified, teachers new to district 203 workdays, returning teachers 201 workdays

Performance Pay

Available annually prorated based on FTE and start date

New Hire Experience

$400 for each full-time year of certified teaching or verified like experience in the last 10 years, max $2800, National Board Certification $3,000 annually prorated based on FTE and start date

New Hire Education

$1250 for advanced degrees + $80/hour of graduate level credits: BA +96 hours max, MA +96 hours max, $500 for additional advanced degrees beyond Master's prorated based on FTE and start date

Job Goal

The Classroom Teacher guides students toward achieving their full potential by transforming district curriculum standards into engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Through effective instruction and specialized assignments, the teacher promotes academic growth and personal development. Minimum Qualifications
  • Appropriately Certified for teaching position according to the Arizona Department of Education Certification Guidelines: https://www.azed.gov/educator-certification/resources/educator-appropriately-certification-guidelines
  • Possession of a valid AZ Department of Public Safety issued IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card: https://www.azdps.gov/services/public-services-center/fingerprint-clearance-card
  • SEI endorsement obtained or coursework completed
  • K-5 Literacy endorsement in process or completed if teaching in K-5 classroom
Core Job Functions:
  • Communicates learning goals to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
  • Prepare and deliver instruction appropriate to the student population, including curriculum that addresses learning styles, abilities, interests, behavior problems and students with special needs
  • Create lesson plans describing daily learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and State and District standards
  • Use available technology to enhance learning
  • Use district and state assessment data to improve instruction and place students in appropriate instructional and intervention programs
  • Facilitate instruction based on current research-based best practices
  • Effectively implement Individual Education Plans
  • Establish classroom routines to promote a positive environment conducive to effective instruction
  • Participate in team reviews concerning the academic progress of low-performing students
  • Document and resolve issues related to student behavior problems and attendance
  • Reflect on teaching and strive to improve professional competence
  • Assume legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities
  • Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Maintain accurate, complete, legible, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
  • Participate in the intervention process at sites
  • Participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences
  • Participate in school and District initiatives
  • Assume individual responsibilities which may be assigned by the principal/supervisor and which may relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision, or other planning and professional assignments
  • Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the District or school site
