Job description

The Teacher Aide is responsible for the care, supervision, and safety of center children. Assist staff in planning and implementing age appropriate curriculum. Responsible for keeping classroom and playground clean, safe, and orderly. Must have compassion and understanding for the needs of children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds. Must learn, implement, and follow all program policies and procedures.

Minimum of 16 years of age.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Have access to reliable, insured transportation.
• Must have or obtain and maintain first-aid, CPR, and medication administration certification within six months of hire.
• Provide current physical (less than 1 year) and negative TB test results (less than 1 year) before or upon hire.
• Be able to work as a substitute in classrooms, as needed.
• Cost for fingerprinting and background check must be paid at time of hire.
