Qualifications

• Graduation from High School and continuing possession of a valid New York State Driver's License with no convictions for moving violations during the past year and appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
• Drivers must be at least 21 years of age.
• Satisfy all requirements of Article 19-A of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
• Satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education.
• Experience and/or training in a particular field where specialized duties are involved may be substituted for high school on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years.
