Job summary

Strange Elementary School in Oneida Township is seeking a paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year to support grades K–6. The role covers 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., and includes assisting students with classwork, small-group instruction, supervision during recess, and clerical duties as assigned. Candidates should have strong ELA/Math knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, patience, and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

School Year 2026-2027

Strange School, a one room elementary school, has an opening for a paraprofessional. This position would cover grades Kindergarten through sixth. A variety of responsibilities would include assisting students with classwork, working with small groups of students, monitoring student engagement, supervising recess, filing student work, occasional clerical duties, participating in school field trips, assist in maintaining a good learning environment, and assisting the classroom teacher as assigned.

Salary

$16/per hour, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

186 contracted days per year

Requirements

Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an elementary school is ideal but working with children in a similar environment will be considered.
