Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools in Michigan is seeking a full-time 1st Grade teacher to join the district's elementary team. The position is 1.0 FTE and follows the district's Teacher Salary Schedule.

The teacher will deliver district-approved curriculum, develop lessons for individualized and small-group instruction, communicate with families, assess student progress, and perform other duties as assigned.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and
• deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
• Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
