Job summary

WSI Exceptional Academy in Orlando, FL seeks a licensed educator to plan, deliver, and evaluate individualized educational services for students with special needs, including autism spectrum disorders, in self-contained and integrated settings.

The temporary position runs through June 1, 2027, hours 8am-2pm, requires Florida teaching certificate, ESE certification preferred, and ability to pass Level 2 background check; strong collaboration with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and Florida teaching certificate required.
  • Experience with educating special needs students or willingness to learn.
  • Proven classroom and student behavior management skills.
  • Mentoring or tutoring experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of current special education practices and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of state, local and federal regulations affecting special education.
  • Working knowledge of educational technology applications.

Location: WSI Exceptional AcademySpecialty: Special Education - Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)Grade Level: Primary - MiddlePay: NegotiableHours: 8am-2pmTemporary Position through June 1, 2027JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for planning, developing, delivering and evaluating appropriate individualized educational services, learning programs and instruction for special needs students in both self-contained and integrated settings in consultation with other school personnel.
