  1. 1.Franklin County teachers are expected to abide by the School Board approved Teacher Evaluation System. Teacher Evaluation Handbook available at the District Website.
  2. 2.Create or select long range plans based on a review of district and state standards, priorities, student profiles, and instructional priorities. Define goals and objectives for unit and daily plans through.
  3. 3.Identify specific intended learning outcomes which are challenging, meaningful, and measurable.
  4. 4.Sequence content and activities appropriately.
  5. 5.Revising plans based on student needs.
  6. 6.Plan and prepare lessons and instructional strategies which support the school improvement plan and the District mission.
  7. 7.Select, develop, modify, and/or adapt materials and resources which support learning objectives and address students' varying learning styles, backgrounds, and special needs.
  8. 8.Establish and maintain a clean, positive, organized, and safe learning environment.
  9. 9.Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
  10. 10.Establish routines, procedures and the use of behavior management techniques which are appropriate and effective.
  11. 11.Maintain instructional momentum with smooth and efficient transitions from one activity to another.
  12. 12.Establish appropriate testing environment and ensure test security.
  13. 13.Establish and maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures and input of grades.
  14. 14.Manage time, materials, and equipment effectively and provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials and equipment.
  15. 15.Instruct and supervise the work of volunteers and aides when assigned.
  16. 16.Assist in enforcement of school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
  17. 17.Interpret and use data (including but not limited to standardized and other test results) for diagnosis, instructional planning, and program evaluation.
  18. 18.Develop and use on-going assessment to monitor student progress, verify that learning is occurring, and adjust curriculum and instruction.
  19. 19.Communicate, in understandable terms, individual student progress knowledgeably and responsibility to the student, parents, and professional colleagues who need access to the information to meet the need of students.
  20. 20.Communicate high expectations for learning for all students.
  21. 21.Apply principles of learning and effective teaching in instructional delivery.
  22. 22.Use appropriate techniques and strategies to enhance the application of critical, creative, and evaluative thinking capabilities of students through engaging learning experiences.
  23. 23.Assist students in accessing, interpreting, and evaluating information from multiple sources and encourage self-assessment by students and assist them in developing plans for improving their performance.
  24. 24.Provide appropriate instruction and modifications for students with special needs, including exceptional education students and students who have limited proficiency in English.
  25. 25.Foster student responsibility, appropriate social behavior, integrity, valuing of culture, diversity, and respect for self and others, by role modeling and learning activities.
  26. 26.Provide accurate and timely information to parents and students about academic and behavioral performance of students.
  27. 27.Work with other teachers in curriculum development, special activities, and sharing ideas and resources.
  28. 28.Recognize overt indicators of student distress or abuse and take appropriate intervention, referral, or reporting actions.
  29. 29.Engage in continuing improvement of professional knowledge and responsibility, establishing a Professional Learning Plan (PLP) to determine professional development needs.
  30. 30.Act in a professional and ethical manner and adhere at all times to the Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida (6A-10.081)
  31. 31.Maintain confidentiality of student and other professional information.
  32. 32.Comply with policies, procedures, and programs.
  33. 33.exercising appropriate professional judgment with regards to punctuality, attendance, records, grades, and reports.
  34. 34.Support school improvement initiatives by active participation in school activities, services, and programs.
  35. 35.Ensure that student growth /achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or student program classification.
  36. 36.Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Superintendent.
