Job summary

Midcoast Maine Community Action is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher for its Head Start program to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate preschool education, aligning with Head Start Performance Standards. The lead creates a safe, inclusive classroom and collaborates with families and staff.

Responsibilities include leading classroom activities, supporting individualized learning and assessments, maintaining documentation, and participating in professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with young children in group care or early education setting; Head Start experience preferred.
• Experience implementing individualized learning plans and conducting child assessments.
• Interest or experience in working with preschool children and low-income families.
• Ability to function as a member of an integrated team or autonomously.

Responsibilities
