Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in Bethlehem is seeking an energetic and experienced Teacher to join our team. We provide lesson plans, students, and an outstanding teaching environment. Flexible hours based on your availability.

We have a proven curriculum that provides outstanding results in reading, study skills, writing, and math skills. All instruction is done one on one in two hour blocks. It is such a positive work environment that many of our teachers have been with us for twelve years or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• State teaching certification is a plus.
• Previous K-12 teaching experience preferred.
• Understanding of child development principles and classroom management.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Encourage the development of students' critical thinking skills.
• Grade assignments and provide feedback during the tutoring session.
• Document students' learning progress.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment.
• Report and document behavioral incidents.
• Hours of instruction are 3pm-8:30pm weekdays and Saturday 9am-4pm.
• Typical teacher works 6-10 hours per week but some work over 20 hours per week.
