Job Summary

Plans and coordinates administrative, and operational activities of a defined, program or set of funded activities. Programs are usually focused to a single purpose, may be scientific, research, educational, or service oriented, and may exist as a subset of an integrated funded program activity. Duties typically include assisting with research dealing with the SS4A, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting and outreach with campus constituents.

Job Description

Provides specialized support in the development, implementation, and marketing of program function. Serves as a central point of contact between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative matters; assists with seminars, meetings, special projects, and/or general problem resolution. Coordinates activities of support staff, consultants, faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives. Monitors and administers program/project revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program. Writes, edits, and coordinates development of SS4A documents, promotional materials, educational materials, contributes to newsletters, as appropriate to the program. Maintains program/project records, research information and gathers and computes various data; prepares special and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources. Continuous operational monitoring – bottlenecks, blind spots, speeding, pedestrian concerns, near misses, etc., from an analysis viewpoint. Trainings and Collaborations – ASB, orientation, first-year classes, Public Relations, GameDay Ops, UPD, FM, Academia, etc. Accessibility & Sustainability – this person advocates for accessibility and sustainability within transportation initiatives on campus. Grant writing – the person should be capable of researching P&T grant opportunities, leading and engaging with funding opportunities, and applying for them.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities are to support the development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of campus transportation and safety programs by coordinating stakeholders, managing program operations and resources, monitoring transportation-related concerns, and maintaining program records and reporting. The role also leads outreach, training, accessibility and sustainability initiatives, and grant development efforts to secure funding and advance transportation objectives.
