Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from Health Sciences program or higher.
• Current CMA certificate/license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Order, collect, process routine and specialty testing and report results to the doctor.
• Obtain and process doctor orders, perform data entry, and provide courteous service to patients, doctors and staff.
• Collect blood samples with correct patient identification and labeling.
• Follow policies for transporting samples to the laboratory and maintain sample integrity.
• Perform CLIA-waived moderate testing and ensure quality control.
• Organize requisitions, scan orders and lab results into the EMR, print and fax reports.
• Maintain point-of-care documents and support QA processes.
• Mentor new staff and maintain professional relationships with clinical teams.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Assist with additional duties to support a well-functioning laboratory and clinic.
