The Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic provides services such as chest x-rays, TB screenings for work/school, treatment for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and for TB disease, and TB prevention education. The nurse that fills this role will need proficient assessment skills along with independent working skills. Some of the duties and responsibilities of the TB Nurse include:
**This position requires the nurse to be able to be fit tested for an N-95 respirator.
Note:In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
