Job summary

Beasley Forest Products is seeking a dependable Taylor Forklift Operator to join the Dry Kilns Department in Hazlehurst, Georgia. The role focuses on safely moving lumber packages, loading and unloading, and maintaining an efficient flow through the drying process.

The operator will handle a large-capacity Taylor forklift, ensure loads are stable, and perform pre-shift inspections while adhering to all safety policies and PPE requirements. OT may be required to support production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Taylor or large-capacity forklifts.
• Background in sawmill or lumber processing environments preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Reliable and punctual with good teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Taylor forklift and related material-handling equipment.
• Move lumber packages to/from dry kilns and storage areas.
• Load, unload, stack, and organize lumber while maintaining safe flows.
• Inspect loads for stability and safety before moving.
• Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections and report issues.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow plant rules.
