Thomas, Edwards Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Back Tax & Treasury Analyst to support tax and cash management functions. The role blends tax accounting with treasury analysis to optimize liquidity and compliance across entities.

The ideal candidate has CPA license and 2+ years in public accounting or a related finance role, with advanced Excel and experience in tax software such as Sage Intacct or CCH Axcess.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in public accounting or a comparable finance role.
• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation or Accounting a plus.
• Advanced Excel and experience with tax software (Sage Intacct, CCH Axcess) preferred.
• Working knowledge of partnership, trust, and individual taxation.

Responsabilités

• Prepare federal and state tax filings workpapers for partnerships, trusts, corporations, and individuals.
• Serve as liaison to external tax preparers and manage calendars and deliverables.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and taxable income projections across entities.
• Track inbound/outbound K-1s and reconcile to book records.
• Review draft returns for accuracy and book-to-tax differences.
• Assist with entity structuring, gifting, basis, and transaction-related tax matters.
• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure liquidity across entities.
• Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts including capital calls and distributions.
• Prepare intercompany transfers and treasury documentation with proper approvals.
• Support banking relationships and treasury platform administration.
• Produce recurring liquidity and treasury reporting for leadership.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation in tax and treasury workflows.
