Job description

About the Role

This role is the technical backbone of the tax function. Working closely with the Tax Technology Lead, you will partner with Tax, Finance, IT, Data, Billing Engineering, and Product to translate tax and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

The scope spans the full tax landscape, including indirect tax, corporate income tax and provision, withholding, R&D credits, and transfer pricing. Over time, the role will take on increasingly ambitious work, including using AI to automate tax processes end to end and building internal products that give the tax team self-serve access to data, calculations, and evidence.

  • Working knowledge of at least one tax systems domain, such as indirect tax engines, corporate tax provision or compliance, withholding, research credit, or transfer pricing, gained at a tax technology practice, tax software vendor, or in-house tax systems team
  • Proficiency writing production-grade Python with strong testing and code review habits
  • Strong SQL skills for building reconciliations and validating data end to end
  • Experience building or operating SOX-aware data flows, such as IPE, control totals, or documented and testable pipelines
