Our Tax Technology and Transformation practice offers a wide range of services addressing various finance and tax operational challenges faced by our clients concerning technology, data, process, and people. As part of a global team of tax and technology professionals across 150 countries, you'll have many opportunities to leverage and expand your experience in strategy and process consulting, data management, tax software system implementation, and designing tax requirements for various systems to enhance our clients' tax function performance.

The opportunity

As a member of the Tax Technology & Transformation practice, you'll develop innovative solutions and support relationship-building with clients. You'll participate in key projects aimed at optimizing the performance of their tax functions.

Your key responsibilities

Depending on client needs and your experience, your projects may involve improving operational effectiveness in tax functions, reviewing processes and controls—including technology—to increase automation and data quality, assessing overall risk to establish proper control environments, and designing and building custom tax applications. As an associate or senior associate, you'll work with leadership on these impactful projects.

  • Ability to learn and operate new technology solutions, processes, and software, including ERP, EPM, machine learning, and AI technologies
  • Capability to work with offshore teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Proficiency in documenting technical and business requirements, and in issue prioritization
  • Interest and experience in enhancing the performance of finance and tax functions, with a focus on building meaningful client and colleague relationships
To qualify for the role you must have
  • A degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least one year (associate) or three years (senior associate) of relevant work experience
  • A strong interest in technology and its application in business processes
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • A problem-solving mindset and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Strong organizational and client service skills
  • A motivated team-oriented approach
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects impacting tax (e.g., ERP implementations, finance transformations)
  • Experience integrating tax requirements into financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, HFM, Anaplan, Tagetik)
  • Knowledge of custom application development (e.g., VBA, SQL Server, Power Platform)
  • Experience with tax technology solutions (e.g., ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, SharePoint, RPA software)
