BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager for Alternative Investments to provide tax compliance and consulting for venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and real estate clients. role involves leading complex engagements, budgeting, and client relationship management, with a strong emphasis on U.S. and international tax issues.

Candidates should have 5+ years of tax experience, CPA/EA/attorney credentials, and experience supervising teams. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant tax experience or public accounting experience.
• Financial services experience supporting Alternative Investments (VC/PE/Real Estate/HF) preferred.
• Taxation of partnerships experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience required.

Responsabilités

• Ensures clients comply with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
• Prepares filings and ensures client tax burdens are minimized.
• Collects data needed for filings and communicates missing items.
• Uses compliance software to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborates with principals and staff on project deliverables.
• Delivers federal, state, and international tax compliance services.
• Leads complex engagements with a team of tax professionals.
• Manages engagement budgeting, billing, and collections.
• Builds and maintains client relationships.
