The position involves a hybrid work schedule in Chicago, IL, about three days in the office, and occasional travel. A CPA license and 5+ years of public accounting tax experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA licensure required.
• Five or more years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
• Ability to independently research complex federal, state, and local tax matters.
• Experience using tax research platforms.
• Experience reviewing business tax returns and related workpapers.
• Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and related software.

Responsibilities

• Technical Tax Research: conduct in-depth federal, state, and local tax research on complex matters and develop supportable conclusions.
• Tax Compliance and Review: review and manage federal, state, and local returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
• Client Service and Practice Support: research tax implications of transactions and participate in client meetings.
• Technology and Process Improvement: utilize tax platforms to manage engagements and improve research efficiency.
