Job summary

Calibre CPA Group, PLLC is seeking a Tax Manager to support the Firm's traditional tax practice with advanced research, return review, and client service. The role involves complex federal, state, and local tax matters for corporations, partnerships, and other business entities, requiring strong analytical and communication skills to guide engagement teams and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Five or more years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
• CPA license required.
• Experience using tax research platforms.
• Experience reviewing business tax returns and related workpapers.
• Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and related tax software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct in-depth federal, state, and local tax research on complex or nonroutine matters and develop supportable conclusions.
• Analyze Internal Revenue Code provisions, Treasury Regulations, IRS guidance, court decisions, and other authority to develop technical conclusions.
• Prepare technical memoranda, written analyses, and client-facing summaries documenting tax positions and recommendations.
• Monitor tax law changes and communicate impacts to internal teams and clients.
• Review workpapers and ensure quality and consistency with firm standards.
• Manage preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
