HDWK, LLC, a CPA firm based in Sandy Springs, GA, seeks an entry-level Tax Staff associate to join our team. The role focuses on preparing various federal and state tax returns, supporting accounting work for closely held businesses, and contributing to tax planning and client engagements under firm leadership.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong interest in Tax and Accounting. Bachelor’s in accounting or taxation is required; CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Experience with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, non-profit, estate and gift tax returns (federal & state)
• Prepare accounting for closely held businesses
• Prepare income and business tax planning projections
• Conduct tax research and communicate with taxing authorities
• Engage in client consulting engagements, including direct contact in first 24 months

Your Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, non-profit, estate and gift federal & state tax returns
• Accounting preparation for closely held businesses
• Preparation of income and business tax planning projections
• Tax research and correspondence with taxing authorities
• Participation in consulting engagements including direct contact with clients first 24 months

Skills for Success

• Completion of Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Taxation
• Completion of or pursuit of Master’s degree of Accounting or Taxation is ideal, but not required
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks is a plus
