About the Role

This position can be located anywhere in the US, primarily in MA. As a Senior Manager in Tax Technology and Transformation, you will lead the implementation of tax technology solutions and oversee transformational projects within client organizations, focusing on digital tax operations, automation, data analytics, and other innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Enhance operational effectiveness in tax functions.
  2. Review existing processes, controls, and technology systems for effectiveness.
  3. Increase automation and data quality, assessing risks and controls.
  4. Design and develop custom tax applications.
  5. Manage large-scale managed services and tax transformation projects.
  6. Lead digital tax transformation initiatives.
  7. Develop and execute tax technology strategies and roadmaps.
  8. Implement and configure Direct and Indirect Tax systems.
  9. Collaborate with leadership to deliver impactful projects successfully.
  10. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service.
  11. Own the delivery of client projects and internal initiatives.
  12. Understand key tax processes, data, analytics, and risk controls.
  13. Communicate effectively and produce clear business documentation.
  14. Apply problem-solving skills and organizational expertise.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Economics, or related; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience; or 2-3 years with a Master’s degree.
  • Certifications such as CPA, JD, Six Sigma, PMP are required or preferred.
  • Experience in financial services, tax software development, or implementation is advantageous.
Additional Attributes

  • Experience with project management and tax technology tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ONESOURCE).
