Job summary

Boos & Associates, a Professional Corp., is seeking a Tax Manager for the Long Beach office to advise clients on tax strategies and lead a team of tax professionals. You will evaluate alternative actions to optimize tax outcomes and play a key role in client communications and risk assessment.

The role requires a CPA/EA or equivalent, several years of tax experience, and supervisory and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field required.
• Master’s in accountancy or other relevant field preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience required
• Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred
• Prior supervisory experience required

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and evaluate actions to minimize tax burden and costs.
• Communicate potential risks and changes in tax policy to clients and internal teams.
• Assist in marketing, networking, and business development within tax areas of expertise.
• Provide written tax advice to clients as needed.
• Act as a primary client contact for complex tax issues and supervise a team of tax professionals
