Ulster Savings Bank is seeking a Tax Services coordinator to support the tax practice by organizing client documents, reviewing returns, and assisting with bookkeeping and automation workflows. You will work with the Tax Officer and colleagues to resolve questions, improve processes, and support responsible use of AI and technology across tax operations.

Competenze

• Experience reviewing individual income tax return documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Working knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Experience using tax preparation, accounting, and document automation software, such as UltraTax, Accounting CS, QuickBooks, and GruntWorx.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, particularly during tax season.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, service-oriented approach to clients and colleagues.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with discretion and follow established confidentiality and information security procedures.
• Experience with spreadsheets, electronic records, and office technology; willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
• Bookkeeping and Accounts Receivable experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Coordinate intake and secure storage of client tax documents.
• Submit documents through approved automation workflows and verify data accuracy before tax return preparation.
• Answer calls, greet clients, schedule appointments, and distribute completed returns.
• Perform accounts receivable activities including billing and payment tracking.
• Complete monthly transaction recording and account reconciliations as assigned.
• Prepare Forms 1099/1096 and coordinate timely submission.
• Protect client information and maintain accurate records per privacy and security policies.
• Refer clients to appropriate bank products or services across lines of business.
