Based in the Manhattan borough of New York City, this position will work closely with TPG Angelo Gordon, a global alternative asset management platform focused on credit and real estate investments.

This role will work closely within the tax team and with the fund accountants on credit-focused, securities, and land bank investment funds. We are looking for a candidate with public accounting/private financial services industry experience. These responsibilities would be varied and go across our fund platform. This professional would leverage our tax managers for fund tax compliance, workpaper preparation and tax return review, work closely with our outside tax advisors and be responsible for tax research, serve as the primary link to administrator, assist with FATCA, FBAR, book accounting matters, securities position analysis, assist with tax notices, etc.

This position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.


As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Role will assist in the review of tax filings, K-1s
  • Preparation of tax estimates and projections
  • Preparation of tax provisions for blocker corporations
  • Assist with document retention, memos on reorgs and implications on year-end reporting
  • FATCA & CRS coordination and legal entity management, GIIN registration, coordination with PwC, SEI, and AG Client relations
  • State & Local coordination of legal entity registrations with state tax authorities
To be successful, these are the skills and experience you will need:
  • 2+ years of public/private tax accounting experience
  • Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, as well as PowerPoint).
  • Financial services or Hedge Fund experience preferred.
  • Team player and collaborator; excellent communications skills.
  • Must be motivated, organized, flexible and proactive.
  • CPA licensed or CPA exam passed and actively pursuing licensure

This salary range is specific to the state(s) listed and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set and education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000.
