Job Description

Tax Senior Manager - Tax Director (Alternative Investments)

Candidates should have a deep understanding of the following:

• Filing requirements related to alternative investment and/or registered investment companies (RIC's)
• Partnership taxation to ensure completeness and accuracy of tax compliance and reporting
• Knowledge of key tax issues associated with alternative investment firms, including tax positions referenced by service providers and the impact of potential legislative and regulatory changes

Required Background and Skills:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field; Masters or LLM a plus
• CPA or Bar
• 8+ years of tax related experience (prior Big-4 firm experience preferred)
• Strong oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with leadership and outside partners
• Strong interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain relationships with service providers, team members, or other members of the firm
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Ability to partner collaboratively with other departments including Finance and Legal
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive ad hoc projects at once
• Interest in improving the tax function by identifying and implementing strategic methodologies or automation tools to improve efficiencies within the department
