Distinct | North America is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in NYC to own key client relationships, lead complex tax engagements and mentor the tax team. This senior, client-facing role offers significant autonomy, hybrid/remote options, and strong progression opportunities.

You’ll supervise, review and advise on federal and state tax matters, coordinate with partners, and help clients navigate compliance and planning with a focus on high-net-worth and entrepreneurial businesses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of public accounting tax experience (compliance & advisory).
• 2+ years in tax management role with staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation.
• Experience independently managing client relationships and engagements.
• Excellent client-facing communication and analytical skills.
• Experience supervising, coaching and developing tax professionals.

Responsabilités

Tax Senior Manager | $200,000–$250,000 | NYC

An established and growing financial and tax advisory firm is looking to hire an experienced Tax Senior Manager to take ownership of key client relationships, lead complex tax engagements and support the continued development of its tax team.

The firm works closely with entrepreneurial businesses, business owners and high-net-worth clients, providing a combination of tax compliance, planning and advisory services. This is a senior, client-facing position offering significant autonomy, flexibility and long-term progression.

What you’ll be doing

• Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong long-term relationships.
• Perform final-level review of complex tax returns, workpapers and technical issues.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies and future tax requirements.
• Manage correspondence and matters involving federal and state tax authorities.
