The Marston Group in Memphis, TN is seeking a Senior Manager (Tax) to lead complex tax engagements and provide high-level client advisory services. You will oversee engagements, review returns, manage projects, and partner with managers and partners to drive client value.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (Master’s degree preferred).
• CPA certification or similar (J.D., MBA, EA, etc.).
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Proven leadership skills in managing client service teams.
• Excellent time management and workflow management skills.
• Proactivity; strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to improve and grow.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a desire to foster collaboration and a team-oriented attitude.
• Understanding of professional independence, ethics, and judgment; uphold firm values.

Mansioni

• Provide technical review of tax returns of varying complexity; signer-level authority as requested by partners.
• Oversee projects involving complex tax issues for planning and consulting; communicate solutions to clients.
• Bridge between managers and partners focusing on high-level client advisory services and growth.
• Oversee resolution of tax controversies with IRS and state authorities.
• Own and nurture client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Handle billing responsibilities for clients and projects in supervisory roles.
• Train and mentor managers and senior associates; provide feedback and grow talent.
• Conduct performance assessments for readiness for advancement.
• Oversee time and workflow management for projects with the team.
• Foster teamwork and a collaborative Firm culture; engage in community involvement.
