Tax Senior Manager, Alternative Investments

Join us at BDO USA as a Tax Senior Manager, Alternative Investments.

Job Overview: As a member of our Alternative Investments practice, you will assist in providing tax compliance and consulting services to clients involved in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Tax Compliance: Ensure client compliance with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens, and ensure team adherence to firm policies and the BDO Tax Quality Manual (TQM). Prepare required filings, ensure data collection, utilize compliance software, and lead project teams.
  2. Tax Consulting: Develop and recommend tax strategies, and perform other duties as required.
  3. Supervisory Duties: Manage teams of Managers, Tax Seniors, and Associates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant tax experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Experience supporting Alternative Investment funds is preferred.
  • CPA, Attorney, or EA certification required; other certifications are a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent communication, analytical, research, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop teams and maintain client relationships.
Additional Information:

Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., California: $146,000 - $200,000, NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $175,000 - $205,000, etc.
