Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Tax Senior in the Midwest to own client engagements and develop technical and advisory skills in a growth-focused public accounting firm.

You will prepare and review federal/state returns for individuals and pass-throughs while mentoring junior staff and building strong client relationships. The role emphasizes hands-on client exposure and opportunities for partnership on a clear growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• CPA license or actively pursuing (CPA eligible strongly preferred)
• 2-4 years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong technical knowledge across entity types
• Client-facing experience and comfort with direct communication
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and serve clients at a high level

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corps, and C-corps
• Research complex tax issues and communicate findings clearly to clients and management
• Assist with tax planning and consulting engagements
• Mentor and review work of junior staff
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Participate in business development and firm growth initiatives
