Job summary

Sherwood Staffing Partners is seeking a Tax Senior for a hybrid role in Glastonbury, CT. The position offers a balanced schedule with some remote days and in-office collaboration, plus a competitive base and bonus potential.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in public accounting tax and CPA, CPA candidate, or EA status. You will prepare and review tax returns across varied clients and mentor junior staff while growing toward supervisor and manager roles.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of public accounting tax experience.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or EA preferred.
• Comfortable with both preparation and early-stage review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns across a diverse client base.
• Take on review responsibilities as you grow, including reviewing work from staff.
• Handle tax planning and research projects.
• Work directly with clients and partners, not buried three layers down.
• Help develop and mentor junior team members.
