The Opportunity

Join EY's FSO tax practice, providing specialized tax assistance tailored to the asset management industry, including hedge funds, private equity, and mutual funds taxation.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory work for clients, focusing on federal, international, state, and local taxes.
• Work with managers through partners on key client issues, including tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Handle tax compliance accounts for hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity funds.

Skills and Attributes

• Solid technical knowledge in asset management tax.
• Ability to analyze trading reports for tax character and differences, such as wash sales and securities issues.
• Build and maintain impactful client relationships.
• Create a positive team environment.
• Identify key tax issues and consult appropriately.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of experience.
• CPA license or licensed attorney, or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in federal income tax and familiarity with the financial services industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Deep understanding of client relationship building.
