Qualifications

  • Two or more years’ experience in taxation with a public accounting firm.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  • Background working with ASC 740 Tax Accounting preferred.

  • Utilize tax research tools to determine proper tax treatment.
  • Manage tax engagements to successful completion.

About the Position

The responsibilities of the Tax Senior position include working directly with other BNN tax professionals, our clients, and other advisors to prepare federal and state income tax returns. You will also utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions.

  • Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in resolving problems and preparing analyses
  • Prioritizes workload and assists staff in developing prioritization skills
  • Motivates staff via professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel and attend business development events on or off business hours

Education and Experience

  • Two or more years’ experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
  • Masters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor degrees may be considered)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Experience in the financial institution/banking industry and/or desire to learn
  • Background working with ASC 740 Tax Accounting preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
