Job summary

EisnerAmper seeks a Tax Senior Associate to join the Private Client Services (PCS) team in a growing, dynamic environment. You will supervise engagements, prepare complex returns, and advise clients on tax planning while collaborating with a diverse, nationwide client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or with a mix of public/private experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, trusts/estates, and/or entities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise multiple engagements including consulting, compliance, and tax planning services.
• Prepare federal, state, multi-state and international income tax returns.
• Conduct research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices as needed.
• Communicate with clients as directed by Manager.
• Work as part of an integrated team; mentor Interns and Associates.

What Work You Will be Responsible For

• Coordinate, plan, and supervise multiple engagements which include consulting, compliance, and tax planning services.

• Assist with the training and mentoring of Interns and Associates.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
• 4+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or with a mix of public/private experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, trust/estates, and or entities.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or parts passed towards completion, or IRS (Internal Revenue Service) Enrolled Agent Certification.
• Experience using ProSystems FX, CCH Engagement, XCM or similar tax software.

For Illinois candidates, the expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $95,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
