KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller) in Indianapolis seeks a Tax Senior Associate to join engagement teams serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and related entities. You will prepare complex returns, support compliance, and collaborate with managers and partners to deliver high-quality work.

You’ll mentor junior staff, stay current on tax laws, and identify planning opportunities while maintaining client service excellence in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• CPA license or active progress towards CPA license strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in public accounting with a strong technical background in high-net-worth individual taxation.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Client service oriented and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsabilités

• Prepare complex individual, fiduciary, partnership, S corporation, gift, and estate tax returns, workpapers, and related deliverables.
• As experience warrants, review basic federal, state, and local tax returns and related workpapers for accuracy under manager supervision.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities on assigned engagements, tracking items, deadlines, and statuses.
• Communicate with clients and their advisors to gather information and provide engagement updates.
• Assist with tax planning and resolution of complex tax issues by conducting technical research and collaborating with specialists.
• Mentor Associates through day-to-day training and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain proficiency in firm technology and tax systems and stay current on tax laws and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities to connect clients with KSM specialists and services.
