Caliber Recruiting Group is partnering with a locally based CPA firm to identify a tax associate. The role offers a balanced environment with no heavy billable-hour pressure, a Thursday-Friday weekly cadence, and strong benefits.

You will prepare and review returns for individuals and businesses while supporting senior staff and staying current on tax developments. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 with potential bonus, plus healthcare, life, dental and vision insurance, tuition assistance,

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of public accounting experience in tax work for various entities.
• CPA license preferred, or in progress with plan to attain CPA.
• Strong understanding of federal tax laws for partnerships, trusts, corporations and individuals.
• Experience with tax software such as UltraTax or ProSystem or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, C-Corps, S-Corps, estates and trusts.
• Assist clients with tax prep, reviews and filings.
• Resolve issues to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Mentor junior staff in tax return preparation and review.
• Assist senior managers on complex returns and entities.
• Interface with IRS as needed to ensure compliance.
• Keep up to date with tax code changes.
