Frazier & Deeter is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to enhance our tax team, supporting preparation, research, planning, and client interactions across individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

You will work with experienced professionals to minimize tax liability while ensuring compliance, and you’ll help with stock option planning and international tax matters within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Hybrid schedule available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Licensed CPA or actively pursuing license.
  • 2–6 years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience in preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and tax-exempt entities.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor tax associates and develop staff accountants.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze tax returns for various entities.
  • Respond to tax authority inquiries and draft supporting documentation.
  • Participate in client meetings and present tax concepts clearly.
  • Support administrative tasks within the tax department.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant client files and documentation.

Job Summary:

As a Tax Senior Associate, you will play an integral role in our tax department, supporting a variety of tax-related activities to help clients remain compliant and optimize their tax positions. You'll work closely with experienced professionals on tax preparation, research, planning, and client interactions.

When working with clients, your goal is to help them minimize tax liability while staying compliant with ever-changing tax laws and regulations. In addition to providing tax consulting and compliance services, you'll have the opportunity to support initiatives such as stock option planning and international tax matters. You'll also assist clients in understanding the tax implications of investments, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations, while collaborating with a team that delivers practical, strategic guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mentor tax associates, providing guidance on complex tax issues and helping to develop their skills
  • Prepare, review, and provide analysis of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Assist in responding to inquiries and correspondence from tax authorities, including drafting letters and supporting documentation and communicating with IRS personnel
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to articulate tax-related concepts clearly and effectively
  • Support the tax department in various administrative tasks, including organizing and maintaining client files and documentation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Licensed CPA or actively working towards license.
  • 2-6 years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
  • Expertise in the preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and tax-exempt organization tax returns.
  • Ability to supervise, review, train and develop staff accountants

Salary Range: $80,000 USD - $100,000 USD
