Job summary

Salesforce in San Francisco is seeking a Tax Analyst to support the foreign tax provision process, preparing and maintaining workpapers across multiple entities. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential; exposure to Tableau, Workday, and AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or a related analytical role (foreign tax provision experience a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required (advanced formulas, pivot tables, workbook linking).
  • Familiarity with Tableau and/or Workday a plus, not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage recurring workpaper cycles with accuracy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple entities/deadlines simultaneously.

  • Prepare tax account rollforward workpapers, reconciling beginning and ending balances across periods
  • Prepare purchase accounting workpapers, and support in integration assessment
  • Use Tableau and Workday as needed to support data preparation and reconciliation (training provided)
  • Collaborate with broader tax and accounting teams to ensure timely, accurate provision close

The Opportunity

The Tax Analyst will support the foreign tax provision process, working closely with the tax team to prepare, maintain, and roll forward key provision workpapers. This role requires strong Excel skills, along with attention to detail and comfort managing recurring, structured deliverables across multiple entities. Exposure to Tableau, Workday, and AI tools is a plus but not required.
