Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of public accounting experience.
• CPA or EA license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple to complex federal and state tax returns.
• Conduct tax research and planning for client-specific situations.
• Perform month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.

Skills

Proficiency in preparation of various Federal and State tax returns

Strong financial statement analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare simple to complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, estates, nonprofits, and partnerships
• Conduct tax research and planning for client-specific situations
• Perform month-end close activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyze financial statements and prepare monthly affiliate reports
• Assist with fixed asset processes and personal property tax returns
• Support firm leadership with supplemental financial reporting
• Contribute to integration efforts for Firm mergers and acquisitions
• Identify internal operational improvement opportunities
• Actively expand technical knowledge in tax and accounting matters
  
  

You should know most of the following

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or EA license preferred, but not required
• Minimum 2-5 years of public accounting experience
• Proficiency in preparation of various Federal and State tax returns
• Experience with UltraTax software is a plus
• Strong financial statement analysis and month-end close experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
