Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to deliver high-quality tax work and mentor others in a collaborative, growth-oriented firm. You’ll handle complex federal and multi-state returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and trusts, while contributing to client solutions and firm initiatives.

You’ll supervise staff, lead tax research, and help develop tax projections and planning strategies for diverse industries, staying current with evolving tax laws in a supportive team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of public accounting experience focused on tax.
  • CPA license or active CPA candidate with ongoing exam progress.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical background in tax preparation, compliance, and review.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Open to feedback, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Review complex federal and multi-state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S-corporations, and trusts.
  • Prepare and review individual, business, gift, and estate tax returns with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback.
  • Lead and coordinate detailed tax research and planning initiatives for clients across a variety of industries.
  • Analyze prior-year filings to identify opportunities for tax planning and process improvements.
  • Develop tax projections and strategies for individuals and business entities.
  • Partner with internal teams to provide thoughtful and effective client solutions.
  • Manage and respond to inquiries, audits, and notices from the IRS and state agencies.
  • Stay current with evolving tax laws and trends to anticipate client needs.
  • Build the technical, leadership, and advisory skills necessary to advance into a Tax Manager role.
