Job summary

H&R Block in Zebulon, GA is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by an expert team and advanced tax training.

The role emphasizes conducting client interviews (in-person and virtually), preparing accurate tax returns, and driving client growth while providing IRS support. CPA/EA certification and 5+ years in accounting or tax are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.
• Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews


• Experience with tax planning and audit support


• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2


• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience completing individual returns


• Experience working in a fast-paced environment


• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat


• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing


• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements


• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
