H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will work with an expert team and receive advanced tax training to help you succeed.

The role emphasizes conducting tax interviews, preparing tax returns, and growing client relationships while providing IRS support and leveraging virtual tools to reach clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Mentor and support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services.
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation.
• Mentor and support teammates.

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2


• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience completing individual returns


• Experience working in a fast-paced environment


• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat


• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing


• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements


• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
