H&R Block is hiring a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team and advanced tax training to help you succeed.

You will conduct tax interviews face-to-face and through virtual tools, prepare complete returns, drive client growth and retention, provide IRS support, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes accuracy and excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation for Circular 230 associates).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
