Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll receive advanced tax training and support from an expert team to help you succeed.

You’ll conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, build client relationships, and pursue opportunities to offer additional products and services in a fast-paced franchise office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is not a guarantee of employment.

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
